IIT Bhilai is a rapidly rising star among India’s new generation of IITs, established in 2016 in the Steel City of Chhattisgarh. The institute has already shifted to its permanent 430-acre campus at Kutelabhata, designed as a smart eco-campus with zero water discharge and Griha-5 star sustainability standards .

The institute’s placement record is impressive for its age, with an overall placement rate of approximately 73.5% and an average package of ₹13.28 LPA. The highest package reached ₹48.92 LPA, and top recruiters include Google, Amazon, NVIDIA, Deloitte, and TCS .

The Data Science & AI branch leads with over 93% placement, followed closely by Computer Science at 84% . With the Government of India approving a ₹2,257 crore Phase B expansion, IIT Bhilai is poised for even greater growth .
