IIT ISM Dhanbad

Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, popularly known as IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, is an Institute of National Importance with a legacy dating back to 1926. Originally established to advance mining and earth-science education in India, the institution has developed into a multidisciplinary IIT offering programmes in engineering, science, management, humanities and interdisciplinary areas. Its 393-acre campus is located in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. IIT (ISM) offers B.Tech, integrated, postgraduate and doctoral programmes and maintains particular international recognition in Mining and Mineral Engineering.
