Krea University

Krea University is a private, interdisciplinary university located in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 2018 under the Andhra Pradesh Private Universities Act and is recognised by the UGC . The university was founded by a collective of global academicians, industrialists, and intellectuals with the aim of reimagining higher education for the 21st century .

 

Krea is built around a philosophy called Interwoven Learning, which blends arts with sciences, thought with action, and past learnings with future readiness . The campus sits on 40 acres and is located about 70 km from Chennai . The sponsoring body, IFMR Society, has been involved in education and research since 1970 and previously operated the IFMR Graduate School of Business .

 

The university houses three main schools: the School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences (SIAS), the IFMR Graduate School of Business (GSB), and the Krea Doctoral College . SIAS offers undergraduate liberal arts and sciences programmes, while IFMR GSB focuses on management education. The university has partnerships with international institutions including Macquarie University, SciencesPo, University of Exeter, and Case Western Reserve University .

Admission

Entrance Exams: Krea does not require a single compulsory entrance exam. The university accepts SAT, ACT, CUET (UG), Ei CREST, and its own Krea Assessment Test (KAT) for undergraduate admissions. For Integrated MBA, SAT, IPMAT, IIT JEE Main, or KAT scores are accepted . MBA applicants need CAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT, GMAT, GRE, or GATE scores .
