SR University (SRU) is a private state university in Warangal, Telangana. It was established in 2020 by an Act of the Telangana State Legislature, continuing the legacy of SR Engineering College which was founded in 2002. The university is located at Ananthasagar, Hasanparthy, Warangal, and operates multiple schools covering Engineering and Technology, Agriculture, Sciences, Computer Applications, Management, and Pharmacy.

 

SRU has secured several notable recognitions. It became the first private university in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to receive ICAR accreditation for its School of Agriculture and B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture programme, valid for five years from March 2026 . The university has been ranked in the top 100 institutions in the NIRF Engineering category for four consecutive years, including NIRF 2025, and was the only private institution from Telangana to feature in that category . SRU Admission

Entrance Exams: SRU accepts TS EAMCET, JEE Main, and its own SR Scholastic Assessment Test (SRSAT) for B.Tech admissions. For MBA, TS ICET / CAT / MAT scores are preferred. M.Tech admissions consider GATE or TS PGECET. Ph.D.

admissions require SRSAT and interview, with NET/SET/SLET/GATE qualified candidates exempted from the written test .
